1. Who was the director of the film? What other movies has
this director produced?
George Miller and George Ogilvie. I haven’t seen anything
else that Ogilvie has worked on. From Miller however, I have of course seen the
other mad max movies, including the latest Fury Road. I had no idea that Miller
also work on Happy feet and babe; that was a complete surprise.
2 Artistically, what did you like about this film?
It’s got sand, its coarse
and gets everywhere. But in all seriousness, the character design was pretty
interesting. It’s fun the think of how humanity would devolve after something like
the apocalypse.
3. Who runs Bartertown?
Without question, it’s Auntie Entity. Master may very well control
the power of Bartertown, but it’s still Auntie who has the real power. Creating
Bartertown to begin with, not to mention the force she has amassed has secured
her position at the head of the table. An argument could be made that it’s the rules
that rule Bartertown, and by that extension the people. But I maintain the idea
that actual power is what’s needed to rule, and Auntie Entity has it. Even if
she ran it straight into the ground.
